It has come to our knowledge that some time ago our brave allies in the East have fallen due some great incursion of the unnatural forces. Refugees from Kislev have started to show in the daily view of our mighty city and should they come in even greater number I would begin to doubt that there’s an invasion going on in Kislev. We live in troubled times my dear readers. Let us all pray that no harm falls upon Middenheim.

On other (though possibly related) news our associates in Altdorf tell us that Emperor Karl-Franz has held a conclave with high leaders of the world. As we heard some time ago as the beautiful Tzarina of Kislev hastily visited Middenheim two weeks ago not only local leaders but kings of faraway lands and those not of human-born were summoned.

To what purpose such meeting was gathered our intel does not tell. But these old bones make me hope it’s not a council of war…

Pyotr Mark und fräulein Gianmaria Tesoro

Throughout the world the name of Gianmaria Tesoro is praised by the cultivated elite of men. She’s the nightingale of Miragliano, the golden voiced miracle. And our very own Pyotr Mark was one of the first to welcome this princess of opera to mighty Middenheim at the ball hosted by non other than Godric von Eisbrecher.

Lady Tesoro tells us that she’s come to Middenheim to perfom to Graf Boris Todbringer himself and let us hope that this’ll lift the veil of sorrow that has darkened our beloved ruler for so long. Those of wealth and status may enjoy her performance at the Royal College of Music 4th of Sigmarzeit for she has made known to be in town only for a small period of time as she’s always wanted to where she’s not.

For those who do not possess the wisdom and knowledge in culture can be made known that Gianmaria Tesoro is a masked beauty who excels in educations and manners. She sets an example to us all as she comes from a humble family and was a student and part of various theatre troupes before she was found as a bright new star to the skies of opera. This pearls amongst women is yet to be betrothed and we and I don’t think I stretch it too much to plead you all to pray your gods that she would please our Graf and he would find his happiness again.

After an argument that lead to nowhere the producers of The Daily Empire decided to stay with this sunking ship called Middenheim. At least for now. As new stories follow the The Daily Empire will publish them as soon as possible. Due use of easy printing and “free” paper provided by the Brethren of the Lighthouse the paper can be sold with a low price of under four silvers!

Through this spring our paper will follow the travels of an entourage of carnival folk in hope of learning something from these vile creatures. We’ll propably also see some news from all over the Old World as well as little personal interviews with the residents of Empire.

I hope you’ll enjoy the ramblings of my staff.

Sincerly Yours,

Larz Felsberg, Head Editor of Daily Empire
