This timeline TRIES to include all major events in the history of the Old World from the viewpoint of our campaigns. As the events that tell about the carnival are given elsewhere (events of the carnival and history of the carnival) they’re not doubled here.

around 2000 – Aristide d’Amaton writes a huge number of bizarre and immoral plays in Parravon, Bretonnia. d’Amaton is found out to be a worshipper of Slaanesh and is executed and almost all of his works are destroyed.

2195 – Questing Knights Thoas La Parouse and Alexei de Nicolai search for the Grail in Empire and manage to find it. Later they separate as La Parouse returns to Bretonnia and de Nicolai stays in Empire.

around 2200

- L’Anguille is ruled be Duke Gautier La Parouse until he’s found out to be a vampire. The House of La Parouse changes its name into Thibault.

- The Brethren of the Lighthouse (merchants’ guild) is founded in L’Anguille.

2201 – Grail Knight Thoas La Parouse fights against a horde of orcs in an Errantry War.

2203 – Grail Knight Thoas La Parouse drives the Beast of Caradué into the Caves of Everlasting Smoke.

2204 – The Beast of Caradué rises from the Caves once again to be driven back. Again badly injured by the sword of La Parouse it becomes afraid of it and statue is risen at the mouth of the cave. La Parouse yields his sword for the statue who holds it aloft for over 300 years keeping the beast at bay.

2222 – After the death of Grail Knight Thoas La Parous, he’s made a Patron Saint of the Bend of Caradué and a Grail Chapel is build for his honor.

2297 – “The Affair of the False Grail”: an unnamed noble turns against his liege Duke Madlred and helps the King to conquer Mousillon. As a reward the noble gains a fief at L’Anguille that formerly belonged to House Thibault. The Noble takes the name of de’Caradué and receives the title of Lord Marquis.

around the turn the 24th century – Jaison Gibsson paints numerous works that are still famous speciments of the New Macabre art style before he vanishes (maybe escaping from Empire).

around 2300 – Melkior Federkleiden found the Order of the Feathered Lord in Marienburg to worship Tzeentch and fulfil his plans to drive the Empire into Chaos. (“Blasphemous Cults, vol.1 by Sami Uusitalo)

around 2350 – The Lord Marquis of Caradué, L’Anguille gives an order to plant an forest near his village for hunting.

around 2400 – The Forest of Caradué is so overwhelmed with beasts and other darker things that a wall is build to protect the village of Caradué.

around 2470 – River pirate Gespenst Ver Heerer terrorizes the river Reik until he’s burned at a stake by witch hunter Lord Kranich von Fleischer. Before he’s death Ver Heerer desecrates the tomb of Grail Knight Alexei de Nicolai and steals the Griffin’s Heart jewel.

Winter – Astromancer Augustus Bernau finds out that someone has cursed the line of Vonreuters (noble family ruling area near Nuln) to be sterile.

16.7. – Herman Bildhof’s ship (and Augustus Bernau along it) disappears into a fog at the Sea of Claws never to be seen again.

2519 – The Battle of Hundred Cannons between ogres and dwarves at the Black Fire Pass.

17.3.2522 – Tzarinna hastily visits Middenheim on her way to Altdorf.

27.3.2522 – Conclave of Light is held in Altdorf.

1.4.2522 – By the order of Khazrak One-eye, Sharog the Hatebringer leaves the Drakwald Deep to infiltrate and terrorize the region around Middenheim. (FaBa)

12.4.2522 – Dire omens are seen as Mannslieb suddenly dissappears from the sky.

1.5.2522 – Doctor Albern Wahnsinn of Altdorf’s University publishes his study about insanities as mutations of the mind that can be cured with proper procedures (as – according to him – can “normal” mutations).

Mittherbst, 2522 – The Ox’s Ruby red wine wins the annual wine competition at the Grail Day Festival held at L’Anguille.

Autumn – Planing to overthrow the Lord Marquis de’Caradué the house of Thibault plots plans with revolutionists and skaven to gain back the lands of Bend of Caradué in L’Anguille. Diseases and misfortunes strike the village of Caradué, Bretonnia escalating to an attack of skaven that is only averted when the Duke of L’Anguille rides to the rescue.

33.9.2522 – A Ship from Lustria arrives to L’Anguille.

Monstille, 2522 – A Group of loyal servants manage to cast the Ritual of Rebirth in Blood at Caradué, L’Anguille resurrecting the blood dragon lord Duke La Parouse. After his resurrection La Parouse escapes Bretonnia and travels to Blood Keep.

3.1. – The Sky over the area of Suiddock in Marienburg is filled with screaming seagulls who stay there for a couple of days before dying of exhaustion and raining down to the streets and canals.

5.1. - Well known and respected butcher of Marienburg, Groenewoud, is found murdered from his house.

6.1. - The Golden Lotus Dreaming House is burned to the ground at Marienburg. No culprits are found.

13.1. – Markal the Necromancer violates the mausoleum of Nicolai de Alexei (a bretonnian grail knight) at Daubesse (along the Reik) while searching for the jewel called Griffin’s Hearth.

28.1. – Growlkun Beasteater’s Waaaagh attack the village of Caradué in Bretonnia almost managing to destroy it.

30.1. - Somewhat shady pharmacist and professor of the University of Altdorf is found murdered and the two guilty bretonnians are found at the site bloody handed and withholding illegal drugs. Their trial is held during the next day and due some loopholes in the law the couple manages to avoid the hallows.

29.2. - A group of burglars breaks in to the city manor of Oldenhaller (wealthy merchant). While escaping the city guard the thieves manage to set a blazing fire and burn the whole manor down.

30.2. – War hero of the Storm of Chaos, Mathias Drauwulf, comes to Nuln escorted by a huge number of Manannite priests.

27.2.-1.3. – Black Powder Week is celebrated at Nuln. The planed climax of the week turns horribly wrong as the new great temple of Manann (funded by the guild of navigators of Nuln) turns to a scene of bloodbath as a group of cultists try to summon a greater daemon. The ritual is interrupted by a group of Bretonnians who manage to fight of the evil.

25.3.-17.4. – The Harbor of Marienburg is held at embargo as accusations against Bretonnian merchants’ guild Rooster and the Kettle are investigated. As the embargo ends the said guild is ruined and at edge of bankrubtcy.

17.1. – Mercer the Mercenary is named among the protection saints of Nuln for his legendary quest to save Nuln from the clutches of chaos involving the desecration of the Temple of Manann at 2523.
