The History of the Ulfred Hahn’s Traveling Carnival to the beginning of the campaign: Shadows of Drakwald.

2488 - Ulfred Hahn is born as a carnival child somewhere in Ostwald.

2499 – Hahn’s parents die in a wagon-fire which causes Hahn to develop a phobia for living in a wagon. Though during his years in traveling carnivals he mostly manages to get rid of that phobia he still despises them.

2500 – The Carnival where Hahn was raised leaves him to the steps of Miragliano’s temple of Verena into which Hahn is then adopted.

2511 – After spending eleven years as a pupil of the priests of Verena Ulfred gets a tattoo of an owl that covers his whole back as an tribute to Verena. Later that year when autumn comes Hahn leaves the Temple of Verena and travels by himself to Empire.

2512 – During Geheimnistag festival in Bögenhafen Ulfred Hahn’s Travelling Carnival makes its first appearance. Later in the summer Hahn encounters Corvin and he joins the group. Mama Bogdana is already a member of the carnival during that time.

2514 - Carnival starts an annual tradition of visiting the city of Miragliano and finds Gottwill Vorrichtung sitting on his pole in the Border Princes. Vorrichtung makes an impression with an accurate prophecy and he’s taken to be a part of the carnival.

2515 – Carnival performs at the Sonnestille-parade in Altdorf.

2516 – Another trip to Mirgaliano. This time Guiseppe Terragni joins the group.

2517 – During a short visit to Parravon, Bretonnia, Gautier Piquerau pleads to join the carnival and he’s welcomed with open arms. While the group returns to Empire via the mountain passes Hahn hires halfling twins Nique and Pique Le Gazon to work for the carnival.

2518 – A promising young artist, Pablo Piccolo, joins the entourage.

2519 – Another trip to Tilea (and Miragliano). Passing through the Black Fire Pass on its journey back to Empire Hahn rescues by accident the life of Kurik Vragnison and he demands to stay with the group to pay his debt of honor to Hahn.

2520 – Vragnison loses his temper in a colorful way and manages to drive Timm Waldenhofer, the groups clown, away in terror. After that the carnival visits Marienburg (for the first time) and Madam Saphire and Jernegan Pepperkorrel join it. At the end of the years Pablo Piccolo disappears without a sign.

2521 – During a visit to Altdorf Hirschfreier Heftige is hired as a play-wright for the group. The Carnival also passes Carroburg and manages to gain two more members, Verwirtt-Mats and an young initiate of Morr, Dietmund Jochutz. During Vorhexen (the last month of the year) Demitirji Ekomov is encountered and he too joins the group.

2522 – Not caring about the rumors of war Hahn decides to lead his carnival to Middenheim and hires Wolfgang Kinert as an guide to them. During a performance at the edge of Schadensumpf Ulfred Hahn gets killed. The Shadows of Drakwald -campaign begins…
